Willow Hare Making Course

Learn how to create your very own willow sculpture - rabbits/ hares are approximately 70-90cm tall when completed, so create a great focal point for your garden..

Courses will run over 2 days… all you need to do is bring your packed lunch.

Courses will run until March 2024 (for the green willow season) - also let us know if you would like a private group booking - minimum 4 people.

Willow Deer Sculpture Course

Our new 2 day sculpture course (Fri & Sat)

Learn how to make your own full size deer sculpture from base frame to completed sculpture.

This 2 day course will cover how to make a simple metal base that doesn’t require welding; then how to build the core willow structure, through to adding the defining features and after care.

Learn how to make this fantastic copper leaf wreath, and create the perfect piece of home decor to bring the colours of autumn into your home.

Gill Bridgestock will teach you hoe to colour copper with heat, cut and form perfect leave to create your wreath during a 1/2 day workshop at the cowshed.

Pewter & Copper Jewellery

Gill Bridgestock teaches this course, with an aim to introduce you to metal forming by sinking, forging and bringing out exquisite and exciting colours using controlled heat.

You will learn a range of techniques through demonstration and individual tuition.

Offering a 1/2 day course that is primarily focused on hammer work, sinking and planishing over a pre-shaped former and oxidation.

Sue Field is a highly skilled maker and teacher with over 4 decades of experience in ceramics, within both pottery and clay sculpture. Courses range from one off projects to a 6 week hand built pottery course.

 

Willow Sculpture

Learn how to sculpt with English green willow on one of our day courses. For 2022/2023 we will run a range of courses, showing you how to make a rabbit/ deer or bird. By the end of the day you’ll be going home with your own sculpture. Groups are kept to 4-6 students and you don’t need any previous experience.

Course dates will be confirmed as soon as we have the dates for the willow harvest.
